Why 20mm
External pavers are a thicker 20mm body to take outdoor loads, foot traffic and the weather, they are not the same as indoor tiles.
Outdoor slip rating
Outdoor paving wants a high slip rating (commonly R11 or above) so it stays safe underfoot when wet.
Frost resistance
Porcelain pavers are frost-proof and non-porous, so they will not absorb water and crack in a freeze.
Bed or pedestals
Lay on a full mortar bed for patios and driveways, or on a pedestal system for terraces and level access.
