Ceramic vs porcelain on walls
Ceramic is lighter, cheaper and easier to cut, and is the usual choice for walls. Porcelain suits large-format walls or where extra durability is wanted.
Gloss vs matt
Gloss reflects light and suits darker rooms; matt is softer and hides marks. The same tile can feel very different in each finish.
Tiling over tiles
It is sometimes possible to tile over sound existing tiles with the right preparation and adhesive. Ask our team about your specific wall.
Substrate & weight
Plasterboard and stud walls have weight limits. For heavy large-format tiles, check the wall can take them before you buy.
